IOW and general training rows.

Christine
Hi All, we will be continuing on with the Sunday's training for the IOW and anyone else who wants more general fitness and stamina in rowing, men included.

The dates, High water and tide heights are as follows:- 8th April HW 17.58 at 3.8m.  15th April HW 12.01 at 4.6m.  22nd April at 17.28 at 4.3.  29th April HW 12.23 at 4.6m. Measured at Chichester harbour entrance.

I cannot make th first two and will nominate a lead coordinator with instructions.  The 29th follows the open day on the Saturday so I propose we set off nearer 11.30am slightly earlier if Sunday rowing allows, to get a longer row time in. Each row will last around 2 hours and you are encouraged to participate in the Sunday open row before, not only to warm up but also to increase your endurance.  So bring water and snacks etc.

The likely team will be announced at the beginning of May, but reserves will also be needed.
Please signup below with the dates you can make.

Thank you very much.

Hello Christine.

I'm afraid I can't make the 8th, 15th or 22nd.  I can confirm the 29th nearer the time.

Apologies
Tina

First sorry I didn't nominate anyone for yesterday's post open row.  This coming Sunday there are 3 possible rowers. So would suggest see how the open row goes and when it seems like an appropriate time, see who would like to go for a row down the harbour and back anyone participating in the Hamble river raid would benefit from this.
I'm afraid I'm still not rowing, I'm aiming to be back for the Saturday 28th April bring a friend day.
Thank you all for your concerns.  It must have been flu and I'm just waiting for strength to return, but finally feel that good health could be a possibility!

This week there are only 2 people that have said they will be there on the 22nd. So please enjoy the open row and see who else would like a longer row at the appropriate moment. Sorry I'm still not rowing. But I can now walk 1 and 3/4 miles max!!!!
